A Trip To Perth - Sunday June 14th 2026

Got the train up to Perth on Monday. Good journey but took about 8 hours changing at York. No taxis when we git there so James picked us up. Had takeaway pizza. Explored Perth a bit on Tuesday with James and the kids. Amy was working. Nice place. There are 2 road bridges over the Tay, the west and the south, and also a railway bridge with a footpath. They live on the east side of the river where the green dot is.  Me and M went out in the evening. Had a good pint of Bitter and Twisted in The Old Ship Inn followed by an excellent. Greek meal at the Aphrodite restaurant. It didn't get dark until well after 10 pm.On Wednesday we took the kids to a small playground at the bottom of the hill. Then walked into town and found another playground in Nortth Inch park. There's also a South Inch. We had over stretched ourselves a bit so James picked M and the kids up outside what will be Owen's nursery. I walked back. 
After a bit of down time we walked to Millenium Park with James and the kids. We all then went out for excellent meal at Cardo. Got the train back on Thursday. The train jourbeys were pretty good and easy with just one change at York. They both took around 8 hrs but its getting on for 450 miles so not bad. The  MnS in the station has closed for some reason so we went to the main one for an Indian meal for 2. I started to watch the opening world cup game between Mexico and South Africa but got bored at half time. Mexico won 2 0. Ordered flyers and posters for HCTS. On Friday we completed the line up fir HCTS and got posts on WeGotTickets, What's On Reading and the RSAC website. JAMO drove back from Perth just in time to watch Canada v Bosnia. Great game, Bosnia scored first but Canada equalised late on for their first ever world cup point. We all went to Greenwich Park on Saturday for Edith's 3rd birthday party.  A great little event with lots if her friends from nursery. 
I never tire of the view from there.
Had a call with Warren and Mary Ellen on Sunday to discuss the Canada trip. JAMO went to the London brewery with Josh and Vic and kids. Got HCTS posts on RGMusicSpotlight and RSAC"s Instagram and Facebook pages. Sent a publicity pack to all the acts.
