He was also in Roy and the Rogers with me and my other mates from Goole.
Tony came round in the afternoon to practice our acoustic set for the street party. A while back we got a letter from Thames Water saying since we had our water meter fitted they suspected we had a leak and were losing 15 litres of water an hour and it had to be fixed. On Wednesday some chaps came from Thames Water, I thought to identify where the leaks were but it was only whether the leaks were nside the building or not. They said they were inside and we were losing 150 litres an hour We had iidentified 2 small leaks in the downnsairs loo. One in the loo itself and a leaking tap but that would not account for that much leakage so called out a leak detection expert. He did pressure tests on the rising main circuit and between the meter and rising main and could not identify a leak except for those mentioned. It then occurred to me I could do a test myself as the meter is readily accessible. This showed we had used 9 litres in 12 mjns but M had flushed the loo which is about 6 so 3, which is 15 litres an hour. So came to the conclusion we should just fix the leaks we know about. This was later confirmed by a further test where the water to the downstairs loo was switched off and the meter showed no water was used.
Went swimming on Thursday morning. Found out from Tony that the party had been moved to Sunday because of the weather. Had first Thursday drinks in the evening. Just me Russ and Dave K. JR was at the Twyford beer festival. Wynn's glasses have definitely caught on.
A good start to the day on Friday, we had a good lie in as James took the kids out. Went to RSAC about midday to set up the PA for the evening event. Had a rehearsal at Pirate in the evening. JAMO drove up to Perth on Saturday. I went into RSAC in the afternoon to set up for Howling at the Moon. On Sunday morning went back to RASC to pack down and borrow some speakers for Steve and Yvonne's party. Went over there about 10 30 to start setting up. Did an acoustic set then Mark Downey did a set and we did an electric one. A good do and we were well received as usual but very tiring.Meanwhile M lead the society walk in Oxford I had planned and in Perth...
