Another Canadian Visit - Sunday April 21st 2024

Took Owen into town on Monday afternoon. It was sunny so I was beshorted but it was quite cold and very windy. Warren and Mary Ellen arrived on Tuesday morning in time to take Madeline to nursery. They are staying at the same AirBnB as last time. I went to the hygenist. We removed the last bits of furniture from the flat as its about to go on the market. Did my ride out down the Kennet and back via Hardwick Stud on Wednesday. Spotted my first goslings of the year. The cycle path was closed as they're resurfacing it. I tried to get through but they wouldn't let me.The Warren was also closed but they did let me through.
On Thurdsay we went to visit SET. Sally is now back at work. We took Edith to the park. Spotted a baby moorhen by the duck pond in  Blackheath. They were getting ready for the London Marathon that starts from there on Sunday. Went to The Ivy for an early dinner. Didn't do much on Friday. M has been hearing what sounded like a woodpecker on the chimney pots. Heard it myself in the morning.A pity the velux windows are so dirty. All but me and M went to see The Three Bears at Battle Library. We put on.offer in for a property in The Valley. Lazy day during the day on Saturday. Did the sound for Chai For All at RSAC in the evening. They play yiddish songs and were really good but a bit samey. Female vocalist and guitarist, percussionist and trumpeter all male. Only 3 paying members of the audience though. These sort of one off gigs at RSAC don't seem to get many punters. With this lot it could be the type of music in the current climate. Apparently last time they played, a few years ago, they played Palestinian songs. Went to a HCTS meeting on Sunday afternoon at RSAC. Its going ahead.
