Fairly Quiet Week - Sunday January 12th 2025

Owen hadn't been well over the weekend and on Monday Amy seemed to have picked up the same bug so we took Madeline to softplay then she came back to ours. First AFD since the Christmas period started. M went to BRO on Tuesday morning to try and resolve the issue of where Letitia Vachell was buried, Reading or Great Hampden in Buckinghamshire. I finished off making the marmalade but will it set? It takes a day or two. Walked to Waitrose in Caversham in the afternoon to buy some farro for a new recipe for tea. Just over 6 miles. When I got back the  marmalade had set. Whooppee. Another AFD. Went swimming on Wednesday morning followed by coffee, toast and marmalade.
Another AFD.
On Thursday morning I walked into town with M to change Edith's Christmas present as it was damaged.  I then did the Southcote lock walk as it was such a lovely, bright, winter's morning. Cleaned the inside of the car to get rid of pine needles. Went over to RSAC in the evening. If was Felix Brunner's funeral and after the ceremony and reception people were coming over for more drinks and speeches etc. They wanted the PA setting up so I volunteered. Tad was there who used to work at Northgate. Turns he used to got watch URZ with Felix and Andy Coltman. Small world. We took Owen out for a walk on Friday morning. Amy is still recovering from the bug she had. Had a band practice in the afternoon with Tony and Andy.
On Saturday URZ lost in the cup to Burnley in extra time. I didn't go as only the east stand was open and it was very cold. JAMO came over for pizzas. Lazy day on Sunday.
