On Monday morning we did a walk along the Kennet with a swify in The Cunning Man. Organised by Roger with me, M, Paul, Kelvin and Mark from down the street with Andy and Warren. James came round with the kids later, Amy and Mary Ellen were up in London for a musical about Celine Dion. I made pizzas for everyone later trying out the new pizza steel. A good start to the day on Tuesday. For the first time in ages managed a proper lie in and completed the crossword and all my other quizzes. Went to Jane and Dave's for new year. They had a murder mystery evening. Good fun but unfortunately Dave wasn't feeling well so disappeared off to bed about 9ish. The murderer was Hugh Dunnit with a frying pan. It all took place on a train from Paris to Moscow. A lazy day on Wednesday, caught up with some guitar playing. The fancy shed man came round on Thursday morning otherwise a fairly quiet day. First Thursday drinks were pushed back to 16th due to illness. Took the xmas decorations down on Friday then took Warren and Mary Ellen to The Retreat. Had a very good takeaway from the Coriander Club round at no 81 after. These arrived from Ian on Saturday morning. James had a flat battery at Coley Park so popped over with some jump leads. Took the Christmas trees and old dining chairs down the tip later. Then went to no 81 for diner as it was Warren and Mary Ellen's last night. There was snow all over in the evening including in Greenwich.By Sunday morning it had more or less all gone round here though.

It was a horrible, wet day so made marmalade, bread and a chicken pie. Warren and Mary Ellen flew home.
