It came with a dart board and full sized snooker table. We met the others for lunch first at the Union Inn in nearby Denbury. Had a game of killer on the dart board and a few games of come up. Did a walk on Dartmoor on Monday. 3 tors and a beacon. They were burning the gorse.
Played a couple of games of snooker when we got back against Steve and Nick. They were both black ball games but I lost them. Jane and Dave cooked a fine chilli for dinner and we played a couple of games of a variation of killer Nick knew where you have to get less than the previous person. Went for another walk on Dartmoor on Tuesday. M didn't come on this one as she felt a bit knackered from the previous day. This walk was a bit more varied, starting and ending in woodland. We dropped a car off on the way so those who wanted to could dip out. We also got held up by ponies on the road.
We were joined in the evening by the Cox's and Andy Lewis who happened to be in the area. Steve and Lindsey cooked a fine sausage casserole for diner.
Had a couple of pints in the hotel Andy was staying at when we got back. Everyone sorted themselves out for diner with leftovers and stuff. Had a few games of shithead afterwards. We drove back on Thursday. Great little trip. On Friday we went up to London for the Fawlty Towers Experience. My secret santa present from Anne. It was actually Faulty presumably for copyright reasons. Very enjoyable but you did have to share tables. Sybil was very good as was Manuel but Basil just wasn't tall enough and didn't really have the presence.
JAMO came over for lunch on Saturday and we looked after Owen whilst they took Madeline for her first trip to the cinema. Went to Brendan and Lynda's for a meal in the evening with Kelvin as its Bren's 70th birthday (on Sunday). A good start to the day on Sunday, cycled over to Woodley to pick up the car in my shorts. The first airing of the year. Made a jam sponge to take to no 81 as we went round for roast lamb, salads and flat breads.
