Got a taxi at 3 30 on Tuesday morning to get our rearranged flight to Toronto. All went well and got a limo from the airport to Watten and Mary Ellen's. Had a spot of breakfast, chatted a bit. M went with Mary Ellen to have her hair done. Had a spot of lunch when they got back. Warren went for a pickle ball class, M went for a nap as she wasn't feeling too good so I went for a walk. Went in the Catholic Cemetery. Very big. Lots of Irish and Italians and nuns.It was very hot but wandered back through some shady woodland. Warren did a BBQ for tea then went to play pickle ball. M went to bed very early but I lasted until about 9 30. We saw cardinals and raccoons again. Got a limo to the airport to get the plane to Calgary on Wednesday morning. All was going well, we boarded the plane but then something went wrong that had something to do with this.More people turned up but even the man with the big red toolbox couldn't fix it so they all drove off and we were deplaned.We were told it would be about 2 hours to get it sorted and given food vouchers. I tried a Tim Hortons egg, bacon and cheese English muffin which was very tasty but left me covered in grease. Then things got bad. We were told the flight was cancelled and we had to fly via Montreal and wouldn't get to Calgary until 23 45. We tried to get a flight early the next day but there wasn't one but they did manage to put us on a direct flight in the evening getting in at midnight so we went for that. Not great but better. So spent the day at the airport. Wasn't going to drink but cracked in the end and went to a Mill Brew. Had the feel of a Wetherspoons about it except for the prices. Not a bad pint of hazy IPA but my sandwich wasn't up to the usual high standards. Finally boarded about 10pm. Landed about 12 30 am but it was really 2 30 as they are another 2 hours behind. Miraculously our luggage had also arrived. Got a cab straight away but it all got confusing as we'd booked into a Best Western and we arrived at a Coastal hotel. I just assumed we'd ended up at the wrong place but M went in to check and they'd changed their name on 1st July.
