Picked up my dobro with fitted pickup afterwards. It's quiet as it's passive but otherwise sounds pretty good. I resolved the problem with the FOH speaker, the Timed Turnoff button was on. Another AFD. The optician phoned on Wednesday morning and advised me to contact the eye consultant, Mr Constable, to sort out my blurred vision problem. She emailed through all the documentation and from this I concluded it was urgent.
They could only give me an appointment on 10th March for the consultant so I ended up going to the RBH Eye Clinic. I was surprised to find they already had my details. submitted by the optician. and had concluded it wasn't that urgent. However as I was there they saw me and perscribed 2 lots of drops to be taken for the next 4 weeks. This is the problem, the bump is not meant to be there. The irony is that Mr Constable is also a consultant at RBH. It's a bit like IT systems the interfaces are always problematic and here we have 3 between the optician. the consultant and the NHS. Meanwhile M pressure washed the patio area near the shed. In the evening she went up to London to meet up with old work colleagues from her House of Lords days. Another AFD. Cycled out to The Spire And Spoke with Kelvin on Thursday.
James, Amy and Owen came over larer for pizza. Half walked and half bussed over to The Tilehurst Cobblers on Saturday to pick up my walking boots then walked back down Oxford Rd. Meanwhile M pressure washed the tiles by the front door. Went to a meeting of everyone at RSAC on Sunday.
