Drove to Truro via the King Harry Ferry in the afternoon. M had said from past experience it was a bit run down and our first experience seemed to verify that as we entered the run down shopping centre. However we then headed for the cathedral and things got a lot better. We ended up having a pint in the Skinners brewery. It turned into a day of 2 halves as it rained really heavily on the way back. It eased off a bit later so we popped out for a pint and picked up some excellent fish and chips. On Tuesday M went to visit the Vachel ancestor to check out some of the documents she has. I went for a walk and got a bit wet. We called Tom to wish him happy birthday and then popped out for a pint and picked up provisions for tea. On Wednesday caught the ferry to Falmouth and had a look round.Interesting place but thought £18 each was a bit much for the maritime museum. Had pasties for lunch. On Thursday we had planned to go to the Eden Project but it was raining hard
, an hours drive away and £38 each to get in so we decided to come home instead. It did clear up but by then we were committed. Picked up on Whatsapp that John Stevens has covid so wasn't going to first Thursday drinks. James popped round with the kids on Friday afternoon then we went round there for tea. Went round to Ralph and Sue's for a meal on Saturday evening. Lazy day Sunday and made pizzas for tea.
