Did my Kennet, Pangbourne, Mapledurham ride after. Enjoyed Monday's walk in Tilehurst so decided to do this one on Tuesday morning.Watched England draw 0 0 with Slovenia. They had already qualified and finished top if their group. On Wednesday we went swimming in the new pool at Rivermead. Good pool, 8 lanes wide. There's also a learning/ diving pool with an adjustable floor and a kiddies play area. A good start to the day on Thursday, M went for a run about 5 30, showered and came back to bed. Crossword finished by 9. Did some HCTS admin in the morning and a ride in the afternoon. It was most of the northern section of my off road round Reading ride but in reverse. About 18 miles. HSBC online bankkng was down on Friday morning. Went for another swim at lunchtime. Went to the newly refurbished Sun (now Rising Sun) in the evening. Not bad. Good pint of Loddon Cintra for £5.10, good food, not too expensive and live music. James new the chap playing the cajon from Highdown. Popped into RSAC about midday to let people in and set up for Howling At The Moon. Cycled Amy's bike back to No 81 and M caught the bus. We then walked back via Oxford Rd. Lots of intetesting food shops and eateries. Had a pint in the Nags and settled down to watch the first round of knock out stages of the Euros. M did some canvassing in Tilehurst on Sunday morning. We have new constituencies. We are Reading Central but James and Amy are West Reading and Mid Berks there's also Earley and Woodley. Watched England scrape through to the quarter finals of the Euro by beating Slovakia 2 1. They scored first and we didn't equalise until the 95th minute.
