Flooding - Sunday January 7th 2024

Did the 5 hills ride on Wednesday but went via The Spring Inn instead of going straight up to Ufton Nervet as I knew it would be flooded that way as it was in Green Park. 
In the evening I popped out to The Fishermans Cottage to check out the weekly open mic night. Quite a varied selection of stuff including an opera singer. We started James' Xmas lego jigsaw on Wednesday and finished it on Thursday.
On Friday JAMO went swimming and I went out on my bike on flood watch. The Kennet proved a bit tricky.
As did the Thames.
I cycled along the road to Sonning.
But got my feet wet on the way to Playhatch 
There was even flooding on the higher ground between Dunsden and Caversham.
Not too bad back in Reading.
Did more flood watch on Saturday. A lot worse inspite of the fact there has been no more rain.l

JAMO went over to Josh and Vic's for the night.
I took Owen on flood watch on Sunday. It's on the way down.
Did a roast chicken dinner and M made an excellent custard pie.
