On Monday M and I went up to London for the day. The plan was to just wander round the city, have lunch and take in a few pubs and churches. Found the Railway Tavern where we used to drink when I worked at Morgan Grenville but its now Green King so gave it a miss.Went past some tall buildings.
There was an organ recital going on in St Michael's church down Cornhill. We had lunch in great but weird pub in St Michaels Alley called the George and Vulture. Went over to Charing Cross and had a swifty in The Ship and Shovel before getting the Elizabeth Line home. Did a ride on Tuesday along the Loddon. The ford near The Heron was quite high.
In the evening I went to watch URZ with Ralph. We drew 1 1 with Oxford. Biggish crowd and good atmosphere early on.
M and Amy went up to Oxford on Wednesday. Had a short ride down the Kennet on Thursday. They've opened up the footpath where Homebase was.

Had my Xmas haircut. Owen can nealy
roll over. Had first Thursday drinks in the evening which was a pub crawl. Ale House, Allied, Blue Collar, Greyfriars, 3 Guineas. There must have some Oxford Utd fans in the last one on Tuesday night.

Went to get the Christmas tree on Friday. James and Amy took Madeline to softplay and to the nursery Christmas party. Did the sound at RSAC for Grant Sharkey in the evening. He was
very good but unfortunately there were only 3 paying punters. He was supported by Damien Passmore (DAP) who was also very good. He stood in at very short notice as the original support act was ill. A lazy day on Saturday. James and Amy got the memorandum of sale through for their house. On Sunday I did the sound at RSAC for the Sunday Alternative Christmas do. They are secular group who meet up once a month. They have a band that they sing along to. Got there at 11 to set up then left them to practice. Popped into Blue Collar with James and Amy and the kids as there was a street food festival going on and DAP was also playing. Then went back to RSAC for the Sunday Alternative main event. They played games as well as singing along. Some quite ambitious songs including Bohemian Rhapsody.
