Coronavirus - Sunday 3rd July 2022

Put masking tape on the top window and primed the putty on Monday. Tried to take the volume knob off my Fender 51 to realign it so the screw is in a different position so I can gauge the volume better. Ended up braking it so can't get it back on. Madeline called. M made meat balls for tea. Put undercoat on the window on Tuesday. Found a luthier to fix my knob. M was at BRO. Did some more work trying to restore the bench. Did the first coat of window gloss on Wednesday morning and had a band practice in the afternoon. Alan finally finished decorating the guest room. Second coat of gloss in between showers on Thursday morning. M was at the BRO again. We moved stuff back into the guest room in the afternoon.
Madeline has learnt about cowabunga and how to high five. Painted the front window sills on Friday. Watched the 1st stage of TdF from Denmark. Got inexplicably a bit worse for wear in the evening. A good start to the day on Saturday, didn't get up until after midday. Watched 2nd stage of TdF. Went up to London late afternoon. We were going to Mark Davis's party. A chap M used to work with in the House of Lords. Stayed at Tom and Sally's but they were away. Our first trip on the Elizabeth Line from Paddington to Woolwich. Very impressive. Fantastic view from Mark and Fiona's house.
Got back around 1pm on Sunday, sadly the Elizabeth line is not running on Sundays so came back via North Greenwich on the Jubilee Line. So noisy. Watched 3rd stage of TdF.
