Went to watch URZ beat Stoke 2 1 on Tuesday night taking us eight points clear of the drop zone. Quite a few supporters from both sides switched on their mobile phone lights round about the 70 minute mark. Not sure what that was about. Did a quick google but couldn't find anything. On Wednesday this UC article appeared on the Get Reading site. The team have been invited to lunch with the vice chancellor. Another article about Michael appeared later and even mentions the pizza evening we had round here. Went for a ride later, the loop out to Lambden Hill. Got back just before a downpour, about 20 miles. Amy's parents and her sister have arrived from Canada. So Kathryn got to meet Madeline in person for the first time.
Went for a swin on Thursday then it was first Thursday drinks and as JR had a signifcant birthday on 1st he chose the pub which was in fact a pub crawl. Possibly had one too many but made it home safely on my bike. As a result had a long lie in on Friday followed by another swim. Madeline was enjoying reading with her aunty and grandma.
Dave and Alice came over late Saturday afternoon so I didn't go to watch URZ but listened on the radio. They were 1 0 up but didn't turn up in the 2nd half so lost 2 1. The other bottom teams either lost it drew so we're still 8 points clear with one less game to play so in a slightly better position. Had good evening with Dave and Alice. They left late Sunday morning as they were going to a lunch in Windsor. Did a couple of hours gardening. Madeline's weaning is progressing.
